Island-wide essay competition on Renewable Energy towards a better future

, USA) in collaboration with Sri Lankan scientists working in the field of Solar
Cells has launched an island-wide essay competition opened to all school students in the age group
of 16-19 yrs under the patronage of Sivanathan Laboratories Inc., USA and National Science Foundation of Sri Lanka.
The aim is to inspire the country’s younger generation to actively participate in programmes directed towards solving the
energy problem in the country.
Training Programme on Plant Tissue Culture
Organized by the Institute of Fundamental Studies (IFS). Covering the following aspects.
- i) Tissue culture basics
- ii) Micro propagation of Plants
Ornamental plants, Foliage plants and Medicinal plants
- iii) Duration – 01 month (except weekends and public holidays)
- iv) Course fee Rs. 50,000/- per person including meals, accommodation, course materials etc.
