Research Focus areas

The project Cell Biology (CB) focuses its efforts on basic and applied science in microorganisms’ and on gene expression analysis in relation to specific diseases. There is a clear need in each of these research areas, and their underlying biology is fascinating and tractable. In the Cell Biology lab, we use molecular tools to identify micro organisms as well as to investigate the mechanisms of diseases causation from microbes.

We pursue excellence in the above research areas through human resource development, grant acquisition and scholarly publications. Read more...
